The All India Football Federation (AIFF) is inviting applications for the position of Legal Intern at its headquarters in Football House, New Delhi. This is a unique opportunity for recent law graduates to gain practical exposure to legal and regulatory issues in Indian football.

You will have the chance to get good exposure to the ever-growing field of Sports Law and build meaningful connections through the work

Internship Details

• Internship Duration: 3 months

• Location: AIFF Headquarters, Football House, New Delhi

• Start Date: Immediate joining

• Stipend: Paid

• Travel: Candidates must be willing to travel domestically for assignments, if required

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the proceedings of the Disciplinary Committee and Player Status Committee

• Draft notices, replies, and record minutes of meetings

• Support the drafting and amendment of AIFF Regulations and Codes

• Monitor issues such as age-fraud and match data, and report to the department

• Ensure compliance with the following legal frameworks:

  • AIFF Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players

  • AIFF Disciplinary and Ethics Code

  • Anti-Doping Regulations

  • Football Agent Regulations

  • AIFF Constitution and other internal codes

Eligibility Criteria

• Recent law graduate (LLB)

• Prior experience in sports law is preferable but not mandatory

• Strong knowledge of sports, particularly football

• Proficiency in contract drafting and legal documentation

• Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Strong analytical and organisational skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure
